During Sunday’s episode, Angela’s sudden arrival at Michael’s family home in Nigeria quickly went sideways after she started damaging his car when Michael didn’t answer the door.
Angela Rainey’s friend at home yelled “Michael, come on. She’s taking apart your car.”
“Tell him I’m going to break the windows next,” said Angela, 56. “You got the wrong mom.”
Renee shouted through the window, “Michael, get your ass out of here!
“I paid for this car. I paid for all of these,” Angela claimed, tossing parts of the car aside. “Michael didn’t pay for it….”
“Michael did it,” Angela said in a confession that was shown to a scene of her tearing the license plate out of Michael’s car. It really made me wonder if he was cheating on me. So I gave Michael one last chance to remove that damn Instagram and he had the nerve to text me, ‘lol no.
Renee kept screaming, telling Michael to get out of the house, Angela said.[you] I got the wrong American man wrong” and ordered Renee to take one of Michael’s registration plates with her.
“It’s the middle of the night, and I’m tired, but really exhausted from Michael’s constant disrespect,” Angela told the cameras. “I’m knocking on his door, I’m calling his name and he won’t even get out of the damned house.”
“Do you know how that makes me feel like his wife?” She added. “I’m not just crossing the damned street, I’ve traveled the world.”
Back in Michael’s garage, Angela screams that Michael should divorce her if he wants to break up because she tore the car’s back license plate.
“Michael is really not who he presents himself as,” Angela said in a confession at the scene while visibly upset by the situation. “I’ve never hidden my identity. I’m a fighter, I’ll be a fighter until the day I die, but that doesn’t mean I’m not injured.”
When Michael and his brother, Yekini, finally reached the garage, Angela’s 34-year-old husband looked confused and angry.
“What is the meaning of this?” Michael screamed repeatedly, before Angela took things to another level when she shouted insults and physically pushed Michael against a wall.
“You came to my place without telling me. Are you crazy? Are you crazy?” Michael shouted at Angela as Yekini tried to restrain him. “You can’t come to my place like this. Are you crazy?”
“He, his family,” said Angela in confession, “because if his family loved me they would see Michael’s bulls…”. “Hell, if they don’t know Michael is lying, they don’t know their brother. Maybe he’s cheating on me.”
“Since I signed the word ‘I do’ with this guy, it’s all gone haywire[hill]. My kids, they all told me, ‘Don’t come to Nigeria, five years ago, or four years ago,’ she added, as cameras showed Michael trying to calm down.
“They were all against me with Michael. So is that really Michael and I haven’t seen him? I’m done with it, I am done. He will not come with my visa.”
When the altercation got out of hand, Michael orders Angela out of his house, at which point a producer on the series steps in to escort Angela away from the scene.
When Angela and Rene were apart, Angela cried, she was embarrassed by the situation and planned to leave Nigeria – and her marriage to Michael – for good.
“I’m fighting because I believe in my marriage, and I take it seriously,” Angela said to the cameras. “I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt. I was really hoping we’d squeeze in again. Right now I’m sore, but I still love him.”
