‘Harry Potter’ star Tom Felton revealed that he secretly had romantic feelings for his co-star Emma Watson.
The 35-year-old actor admitted there was a “spark” between him and the 32-year-old actress in his new memoir, “Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up in a Wizard,” which the evening got. Basic.
He wrote, “I loved and admired her as a person in a way that I cannot explain to anyone else.”
Watson played the heroine Hermione Granger while Felton portrayed her opponent Draco Malfoy in the mega franchise.

He recalled his first meeting with Watson, which occurred at an audition when he was eleven and she was nine. Felton wrote that Watson pointed to a crowded microphone and asked, “What is that?” He replied, “This means that they are clearly recording us.”
“My relationship with Emma didn’t start well,” Felton admitted. “She was forgiven for not wanting to do much with me. It just got worse.”
Felton wrote that he mostly avoided Watson after they were cast and spent their lunch breaks smoking cigarettes and listening to rap music with other actors.
The “Flash” star recounted an incident in which he and other members of Watson mocked when she performed a dance routine for them at lunchtime.
He went on to say that his group was “predictably dismissive”. Felton added that they laughed on their way to her show and only laughed as she danced.
“We were just boys, largely out of embarrassment and because we thought taking a p*** was cool,” Felton explained.
“I felt like a little ad**k, and rightfully so. In the end, it was up to one of the hair and makeup ladies to tell me what it was.”
Felton and Watson eventually became close friends and the pair were the subject of romantic rumors for years. In his memoirs, Felton made it clear that the speculation was not entirely baseless.
“I’ve always had a secret love for Emma, but not in the way people might want to hear it,” Felton said.
“That doesn’t mean there wasn’t a spark between us. It certainly did, just at different times.”
Felton said he learned it Watson was a fan He had it for the first time when he was 15 and she was 12. Although he insisted that his feelings for Watson were purely platonic, Felton said his girlfriend at the time suspected otherwise.
“Rumors started abounding that our relationship was more than we could have imagined. I denied I loved her that way, but the truth was different.”
He continued, “My girlfriend at the time knew right away that there was something unspoken between us. I remember using the familiar old phrase, ‘I love her as a sister.'” “But there was more than it was.”
On reflection, Felton said he didn’t think he was “at all in love with Emma”.
“But I loved and admired her as a person in a way that I cannot explain to anyone else… We were clan spirits.”
“I know for sure that I will always go back to Emma and always will be.”
